Well-known Bollywood director and actor Farhan Akhtar has revealed that Akshay Khanna slapped Aamir Khan 17 times during the shooting of the film ‘Dil Chhata Hai’.

According to Indian media, Farhan Akhtar recalled the incident and said that when we finished shooting, I remember that Aamir Khan had a clear slap mark on his face.

It has been 25 years since the release of the movie Dil Chahta Hai, but due to its themes like friendship, love and relationships, this movie still holds a place in the hearts of viewers of different generations.

Recently, in a conversation with the Indian media, the cast and filmmakers of Dil Chhata Hai reunited and shared their memories related to the film.

On this occasion, Aamir Khan revealed that Akshay Khanna slapped me 17 times during the shooting of an important scene of the film.

Director and actor Farhan Akhtar joined the conversation and said that I told Aamir that Akshay Khanna will really slap you, to which Aamir agreed.

He said, “I told Akshay that Aamir is expecting a slap at the end of the dialogue, so while he is saying his line, slap Aamir at the same time, that way there will be an element of spontaneity in the scene.”

That’s what happened during the shoot, Farhan said, but then Aamir said I had to redo the scene, because the slapping scene was putting me in a state of mind that was helping my acting.

He said that he repeatedly insisted that I be slapped more.

On this occasion, Aamir Khan also explained that yes it works, when you actually slap someone, the effect is visible.

Farhan Akhtar recollected the incident and said that when we finished shooting, I remember that Aamir’s face was covered with a slap mark and his face was swollen on one side.
