Iran has rejected the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) resolution on its nuclear program.

According to Arab media reports, Iranian Ambassador Gholam Hossein Darzi wrote a letter to the President of the United Nations Security Council.

The Iranian ambassador says that the new allegations related to Iran’s peaceful nuclear program are political and not technical in nature.

He has said that Iran rejects the baseless allegations and attempts to distort the facts related to the nuclear program.

The Iranian ambassador has said that the IAEA has sent the matter of inspection of uranium residues in Iran to the Security Council.

Earlier, China opposed the US-backed IAEA resolution against Iran.

China had warned that political confrontation and pressure would further escalate tensions.

Beijing had insisted on returning to negotiations to resolve the issue.
