So, what’s the agenda for the upcoming 10-episode season?
What to expect from Season 3 of Nobody Wants This
If you’re stressed out by the “will they, won’t they” tension of the past, you’re in luck. The upcoming season does away with the relationship anxiety and allows the central couple to actually enjoy their romance.
When Season 3 begins, Joan and Noah officially move in together. The new episodes will focus on the couple settling into their new shared home and experiencing all the “firsts” of building a life together. The creative team has promised that despite the new domestic bliss, Joan and Noah’s dynamic will still be just as fun, flirty, and full of big romantic moments that fans have come to expect.
Behind the scenes, the writers room had a very specific vision for the new episodes. Co-showrunner Jenny Connor revealed to Netflix that her North Star direction was ensuring that “this season feels like champagne.” In fact, creator Erin Foster told Netflix that every time a new story comes out, they literally ask, “Is this champagne?” If it doesn’t fit with that lively atmosphere, the idea will be scrapped.

While Joan and Noah thrive, the rest of the family deals with the messy fallout from the Season 2 finale. Sasha (Timothy Simons) and Esther (Jackie Tohn) have officially broken up, throwing them back into the brutal dating pool of Los Angeles.
Sasha’s new single status also throws a major curveball in his dynamic with Joan’s sister, Morgan (Justine Loeb). Fans have long noticed the underlying chemistry between the two, and with Sasha’s return to the market, their previously strong friendship takes a complicated turn. According to the showrunners, viewers can expect the “unspoken matter” between them to finally be addressed, making the stakes incredibly high for the pair.
Romance aside, Morgan is also stepping into her own spotlight on the professional front. As her and Joan’s podcast continues to take off, Morgan begins looking for ways to advance her career and step out of her sister’s shadow.
