Islamabad (Sajid Chaudhry) The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved the 11-year plan for power generation and transmission of $58 billion. The total installed production capacity is expected to reach 62,657 MW by 2035. Dollar investment is expected, the plan proposes to add 26 thousand 45 MW of new generation capacity, which will include 17 thousand 485 MW of committed and 8 thousand 560 MW of optimized capacity, while it is also proposed to retire 2 thousand 577 MW of old generation capacity.
