Netflix continues to bolster its licensed anime library, and we’ve just learned that the popular sci-fi series Mecha Earth snowball It will premiere on Netflix in the US, Canada, and other select regions on October 4, 2026.
Based on the popular manga by Yohiro Tsugetsugu (published in English by VIZ Media), Earth snowball It was one of the standout anime shows of the Spring 2026 season. The TV series was brought to life by the talented team at Studio KAI, and after its initial broadcast earlier this year, it is finally making its way to Netflix audiences. TOHO Animation is in charge of distribution, with Crunchyroll premiering the series in April.

Who is behind the series?
The anime is directed by Munehisa Sakai, with the series written by Shigeru Murakoshi and character designs by Toshiya Konno. The Japanese voice cast features Takuto Yoshinaga leading the charge as the protagonist, Tetsu Yabusame.
The first season consists of 13 episodes, all of which will be available to watch on Netflix on release day. Better yet, the series has already been officially greenlighted for a second season, meaning you can invest in the story knowing there’s more snow mecha action on the way!
