US President Donald Trump’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson’s wedding in the Bahamas was allegedly paid for by a Russian billionaire with close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to foreign media reports, Trump Jr. has confirmed that the head of the International Boxing Association, Omar Karimlev, will contribute to his wedding expenses.
According to media reports, Russian businessman Umar Kremlev is a close associate of Russian President Putin.
In addition to the expenses for the fireworks display at the wedding, Omar Karimlio provided money to book one of the 2 private islands, where the wedding reception was held and where the guests were accommodated, the report said.
According to media reports, the millions of dollars in payments were made through a Dubai-based entity linked to the International Boxing Association and used by the organization for financial transactions.
On social media Trump Jr. and his wife Bettina reported that the 2-night wedding ceremony held on the island of the Bahamas in May was hosted by dear friend Omar Karimlio.
He said it was an extraordinary gift from a friend, for which we are grateful.
The report also states that US President Donald Trump did not attend his son’s wedding in the Bahamas.
Millions of dollars in spending by a Russian businessman have raised questions about foreign influence on the Trump family.
