Thomas Massey, a Republican member of the US House of Representatives, submitted a resolution to impeach Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Massey, reading the articles of impeachment in the House, said Hegseth abused the powers of the defense secretary and subjugated constitutional limits on the use of military force and the laws of war to his own policy objectives.

The US Department of Defense has backed Hegseth, saying the entire department is united with his leadership and vision.
