In the meeting presided over by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the progress of the PM Special Relief Scheme on Petrol was reviewed.

Under the scheme, fuel subsidy is being provided to owners of motorcycles, rickshaws and vehicles up to 800 cc.

The Prime Minister directed to set up a facility desk consisting of management, volunteers and petrol pump staff for easy access to subsidy.

The Prime Minister said that in order to provide relief, the persons present at the facility desk should guide the deserving citizens of the scheme, the public should be provided with all possible guidance in registration and other necessary steps.

The Prime Minister also directed the concerned authorities to be proactive in creating awareness among the public about the scheme.

In the meeting, the Prime Minister was informed about the progress of the fuel subsidy scheme.

According to the declaration, after the pilot inauguration of the scheme in Islamabad, now the scheme has been inaugurated in the whole country.

The briefing informed that this scheme has been made very easy and common understanding for the public. The provincial governments are fully cooperating to implement the scheme at the national level.
