1 magazine taken from a library in the US state of New Hampshire has finally been returned after a 132-year delay.

According to foreign media reports, 84-year-old resident John Henson recently arrived at the Concord Public Library and returned the September 1894 issue of The Century Illustrated Monthly.

John Hanson decided to return the 19th-century periodical after the library announced a temporary suspension of fines.

The magazine was returned 48,220 days late and the fine, if imposed, would have been over 3362,000 Pakistani Rupees (12,055 US dollars).

According to John Hansen, the magazine had been in our house for decades, but I don’t know how it got to my house.

The library expected long-unreturned books to start coming back after the fines were announced, but the return of the magazine, published in 1894, has surprised even the staff.
