A unique honor of the American family, a birthday of five generations of members

A family from the US state of Iowa has been recognized by Guinness World Records for an extraordinary achievement. Five generations of this family have birthdays on the same day.

Guinness World Records has confirmed that Fred Harlow and his family hold the world record for the most offspring born on the same day. Fred Harlow was born on September 14, and his grandfather Wilbur, his mother Addie, his daughter Emma Bell and his grandson Arthur were born on the same day.

“When you have children, they are a gift,” Harlow told the media. We always thought it was very interesting, but I never thought much that we could become record holders. They just believed that everything happens for a reason.

His daughter Emma Bell said that it was only after the birth of her son that the family decided to seek official confirmation of this unique record. They had previously known that the family could tie the record for four generations being born on the same day, but the birth of their second child on September 14, 2025, surpassed that record.

According to Amabel, my grandmother often told me that you must have a son on September 14. She used to say this every year. My first child was born prematurely, so I was determined that this time I would keep my due date to September 14th.

And then it happened that my son Arthur was born exactly on the due date. Emma said that her grandmother would have been very happy and proud of this. I think they would have been very proud of it and very impressed that we actually did it.

The family said there is one more thing about their shared anniversary that makes it even more special. Starts with Dada, so the whole sequence is boy, girl, boy, girl, boy. That is, the same sequence runs from beginning to end.
