US Senator Chris Van Hollen vowed to block the Trump administration’s proposed $2.8 billion arms package for Israel.

He has raised the question why military operations are being financed with American taxpayers’ money during the ongoing violence in Gaza.

Van Hollen said in a statement on social media platform X that the Trump administration is sending $2.8 billion of American taxpayer money to a government led by a wanted war criminal.

He asked that on the one hand, Netanyahu is continuing to bombard Gaza and on the other hand, he is obstructing the path of justice for those American citizens who died under his watch, how is this America First?

The US senator demanded that lawmakers act to stop the weapons package.

It should be noted that the Trump administration has approved the sale of arms worth 2.8 billion dollars to Israel, and these American weapons will include 40,000 bombs weighing about 1 ton.

This is one of the largest shipments of arms sold by the US to Israel.
