Oil marketing companies have demanded a profit of Rs 1 22 paise per liter on petrol and diesel.

The Oil Companies Advisory Council has written a letter to the OGRA Chairman, demanding implementation of pending price claims and margins of Rs 66 billion by OMCs.

The letter states that claims of oil marketing companies are pending from March 2026, whose verification process should be completed soon and dues paid.

The letter said that while the margin of oil marketing companies was increased in September 2023, the margin of OMCs should be implemented at Rs 1.22 per litre.

The letter also stated that recently an increase of Rs 1 34 paise per liter was implemented for petroleum dealers, however the increase in margin of Rs 1 22 paise per liter for OMCs was not notified.
