Pakistan strongly condemned the attacks on commercial ships and crews by Houthi militia in Bab al-Mandab and demanded an immediate end to the attacks.

Pakistani Ambassador Asim Iftikhar in his address to the Security Council meeting has stressed on the protection of free maritime traffic and security of commercial ships.

He has said that such provocative actions can lead to serious consequences for maritime security and regional peace and stability, free maritime traffic and security of ships should be ensured.

The Ambassador of Pakistan has reiterated his unwavering support for the sovereignty, integrity and prosperity of Saudi Arabia and stressed on reducing tension in the Strait of Hormuz and restoring normal maritime traffic.

Asim Iftikhar Says that the maritime crisis can affect world peace, energy and food security, the problems should be resolved through negotiations and diplomacy.
