Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that our direct demand is to end the petroleum levy, we are going to take the right of the people.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said during a conversation in Geo News program Naya Pakistan that which constitution and law prevents peaceful protest. The government itself violates the court order by placing containers and blocking the roads, there is no vandalism in our protest and it is not an anti-state protest.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami further said that the price of petrol can be reduced by abolishing the levy, our direct demand is to abolish the petroleum levy.
He said that holding sit-ins in different cities is a laborious task, it is not a joke, we are on the streets to protest a public issue and are working hard.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman also said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman will not respond to the statement, but he did not expect such a thing from him, we do not sit at home and make memes or make unnecessary objections to protests.
