Islamabad (Rana Ghulam Qadir) CCP has imposed a fine of six crore rupees on Oil Tankers Association for collusion in the delivery of edible oil and ghee. CCP ordered to end collective fares and slip and bar system. According to CCP, a fine of 6 crore rupees was imposed for fixing edible oil delivery fares and distribution of business in tankers, including 3 crore for collective determination of fares and another 3 crore fine for distribution of business through slip and bar. The reduction formula was fixed, i.e. the rate of fare increase was 50 per cent higher than the rate of decrease for the same change in diesel price.In six years, transport fares were revised collectively 89 times, increasing 52 times and decreasing 37 times.
