Amir Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has demanded the government to provide immediate relief to the people and to end the levy allowance, warning that if the demands are not accepted, the protest will increase further.

Under the leadership of Hafiz Naeemur Rahman, the long march from Karachi to Islamabad began, the workers left for Islamabad by train.

Addressing the workers and talking to the media before departure at Karachi Cantt Station, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that workers from all over the country have gone to Islamabad, no obstacle can stop us.

Hafiz Naeemur Rahman said that the rulers have only one way to give relief to the people, otherwise the protest will increase further and lest this protest turn into a movement to overthrow the government.

He further said that we do not like to protest in extreme heat, the government itself is forcing people to protest, ministers come but do not give relief to the people.

Amir of Jamaat-i-Islami said that we are not going to Islamabad for ourselves or our party but for 25 crore people, our struggle is for the people, our first stop will be in Hyderabad.

Hafiz Naeemur Rahman said that the government has increased the prices of petroleum products using the excuse of the global market, the government should take its own credit and abolish extortion tax.

He also said that government and government representatives are present in IPPs, if we sit at home and bear it, they will keep returning.
