Lahore (Khalid Mahmud Khalid) Chief of Staff of Japan Air Self-Defense Force General Takehiro Morita flew in the locally produced light combat aircraft Tejas of the Indian Air Force yesterday on the occasion of the ongoing bilateral air exercise Veer Guardian-2026 between India and Japan in the city of Jodhpur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The chiefs of the two air forces conducted a formation flight over the airfield, followed by a peel-off maneuver for landing. The flight lasted about 20 to 25 minutes. This is the first time that Japanese fighter jets are operating from Indian soil for a bilateral air exercise.
