US Ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, has said that US President Donald Trump is determined to ensure that Iran never acquires a nuclear weapon, and that the US will continue a policy of maximum pressure for this purpose.

In a post on social media platform X, Mike Waltz said the door is still open if Iran returns to the negotiating table in good faith.

Along with this, he has also shared a video clip in which he is addressing an event held in New York.

In the video, the American ambassador has described the war between the United States and Israel against Iran as a continuation of the 47-year-old conflict.

Speaking at the event, Mike Waltz said that President Trump is determined that Iran will never get a nuclear weapon, and his focus is on Iran not being able to hold the world hostage, especially the Strait of Hormuz, with the help of nuclear weapons.

It should be noted that Iran has been denying that it is trying to develop nuclear weapons.

Tehran signed a deal with world powers in 2015, under which Iran agreed to limit its nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief, but Donald Trump withdrew the US from the deal during his first term as president, effectively ending the deal.
