ISLAMABAD (Zubair Kasuri) Fake verification method of Pakistani documents abroad exposed, Jang exposed suspicious QR link, digital system similar to the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has started investigating a network of alleged forgery in the verification system of Pakistani documents used abroad, in which a suspicious digital verification system was also used with fake apostille stickers, government-style seals and documents. DGF Speaking to Jang/The News, the IA said that the matter has been taken very seriously and senior officers have been assigned to investigate all aspects of it. He said that the investigation will be carried to its logical conclusion and whoever is found involved will not be spared, whether he belongs to the government body or the private sector. According to DGFIA, the role of all the people involved in the alleged network is being fully investigated and action and arrests will be made against the government officials found involved. The true scale of the fraud and the number of documents produced or processed through it will become clear as the investigation progresses. A senior Foreign Ministry official told Jung that the apostilled documents are mainly for official use abroad. Academic degrees, diplomas, transcripts and certificates are used to verify admissions to overseas universities, higher education, employment and educational qualifications. Similarly, police clearance certificates are used in immigration, residence, work permit and employment matters, while birth and marriage certificates are used in family, immigration and other legal and administrative matters.
