Former Deputy Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Muhammad Idris passed away.

According to Jamaat-e-Islami spokesman, Hafiz Muhammad Idris was ill for a few weeks.

According to the spokesman, the funeral prayer of Hafiz Idris will be offered at Jamia Masjid Mansurah after Isha prayer today.

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has expressed regret over the death of Hafiz Muhammad Idris.

Hafiz Muhammad Idris was one of the tall and stubborn personalities of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan who dedicated his entire life to Da’wah and political struggle and ideological awareness.

He held the important post of Naib Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami for a long time, apart from which he handled various key administrative responsibilities including Central Qeem (Secretary General) and Amir of Punjab very well.

He was a distinguished scholar of religion, fiery orator and author, he wrote many books on the topics of Quran, Hadith and Sirat-i-Taiba (PBUH) and gave intellectual and moral training to millions of youth through religious and intellectual sermons.

The death of Hafiz Muhammad Idris is being considered as a great intellectual and movement loss in Jamaat-e-Islami circles.
