Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah’s popularity has come to a unique display in the Turkish city of Trabzon, where the stone he once sat on has become a tourist attraction.

According to foreign media, Mohamed Salah took photos while sitting on a common stone during a visit to a green mountain area near the city of Trabzon, Turkey.

After the photos went viral on social media, a large number of Mohamed Salah’s fans later reached the same spot and gave special importance to the stone on which the Egyptian footballer was sitting. Due to the arrival of thousands of fans, food stalls were also established around the valley.

According to Arab media, Turkish football fans have started calling the valley after Mohamed Salah.

Locals named this rock “Salah Tashi”, while a signboard named “Salah Plateau” has also been installed there, fans are queuing up to take photos in the style of Mohamed Salah.

After the arrival of Mohamed Salah in Trabzon, his popularity among the Turkish people has increased. A large number of fans arrived at the airport to welcome him after signing with Trabzonspor in August.

On the other hand, Salah has continued his excellent performance in the field as well. On Saturday, he provided a hat-trick and an assist in a 4–0 victory over Galatasaray, handing Galatasaray their first defeat of the season.

Mohamed Salah, 34, signed a two-year deal with Trabzonspor this year after nine years at Liverpool, where his annual salary is set at €17m, the highest in the Turkish Super League.

During his time at Liverpool, he won several major trophies, including the Premier League and the Champions League.
