Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s visit to the Old City of Jerusalem and the tunnels under the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound with his wife has sparked outrage on social media.

“We are very close to the holiest place here, we are here and we will always be here,” Netanyahu said.

The Israeli ruling couple then attended a religious ceremony.

People on social media said that the intervention below the Al-Aqsa Mosque is paving the way for the intervention above, the dangers that have long been warned about, are now becoming a daily reality.
