Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir says that the armed forces are determined to defeat terrorism and ensure lasting peace and stability in the country.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Corps Headquarters Peshawar, Corps Commander Peshawar received the Chief of Defense Forces.

According to ISPR, the field marshal was briefed on the current security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ongoing counter-terrorism operations, border arrangements and operational preparations of formations deployed in the province.

The field marshal directed the formations to remain alert and maintain the highest standard of operational readiness, saying that the great sacrifices of the martyrs who laid down their lives will never be forgotten.

Appreciating the high morale, preparation and professionalism of the officers and men, the Field Marshal laid a wreath on the martyrs’ memorial and recited the Fatiha.

According to ISPR, the Field Marshal paid tribute to the martyrs.
