Karachi recorded a temperature of 40.7 degrees Celsius on September 21. It was the hottest day during September in Karachi since 2017.

According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon has ended prematurely in the country. In Pakistan, Moon usually ends on September 30. For this reason, Karachi is facing October-like heat a week ago.

The meteorological department says that the temperature in September in Karachi has been 0.8 degrees Celsius higher than normal. October is usually the hottest month after May and June, but now October can be hotter than normal.
