ISLAMABAD (Mehtab Haider) Pakistan has launched its first national economic mission, “Exceleration in Exports, Production, Quality, Innovation and Branding”, under which the target of increasing exports to 63 billion dollars by 2030 and 100 billion dollars by 2035 has been set. A high-level meeting was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, in which it was considered to develop a coherent and time-based roadmap for the development of the export economy. Iqbal said that exports are not just an economic goal but a question of economic independence and national survival for Pakistan. Instead of meeting external needs by borrowing, we should earn for our future. Under the mission, export diversification, industrial productivity, quality, innovation, branding, market access, development of clusters and integration with global value chains will be focused on.
