He said that there are huge opportunities in Pakistan in the fields of technology, artificial intelligence (AI), real estate, hospitality and infrastructure development. The High Commissioner said this after meeting Maqbool Hussain Awan, a businessman from Islamabad, at the Pakistan High Commission. The High Commissioner supported and endorsed Awan’s call to urge Overseas Pakistanis to play a more active role in Pakistan’s development. Maqbool Hussain Awan said that he has come to the UK as part of a major initiative aimed at informing and connecting with British companies and the Pakistani community about the investment and business opportunities available in Pakistan. He said that there are investment opportunities in Pakistan, especially in the areas of tax free zones, infrastructure development and advanced technology, where Pakistan has emerged as an important country. Awan said in a conversation with the High Commissioner that many opportunities are being created in Pakistan. He said that his group is currently working on major projects including malls, hotels, technology zones and various development projects.
