A US Air Force F-16 fighter jet crashed after a training exercise in Germany, but the pilot managed to eject safely.

According to the US military, the plane was stationed at Spangdahlem Air Base in West Germany, and the pilot was transferred for medical treatment after the accident.

According to the German Air Traffic Control Authority, a total of 4 F-16 aircraft participated in the training exercise, 2 aircraft were present in the training area while 2 were returning to Spangdahlem Air Base.
