In the city of Calcutta, Turkey, the world’s largest pot of beans was produced and registered in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Calcutta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gomushkhane Governorship in collaboration with Calcutta Municipality prepared a grand pot of beans on 22nd August.

The cauldron, which registered its name in the Guinness Book of World Records, was 1,807 gallons, equivalent to about 15,000 boxes, which was able to claim the title of the world’s largest cauldron.

The previous record was 1,479.36 gallons. Farmers, housewives, engineers, food safety experts, sponsors and volunteers participated in the preparation of the new record-breaking pot.

According to the organizers, this record is a global recognition of the region’s agricultural heritage, local production and people’s unity, which will be a source of pride for generations to come.
