Allegations that the father of slain 10-year-old schoolgirl Sara Sharif was murdered in a British prison cell have been strongly denied by inmates.

Sara Sharif’s father is in jail on the charge of murdering the girl who was allegedly tried to be killed by fellow inmates in the cell, but the inmates denied the charge during the investigation.

Prisoners Steven Sansom and Adam Watson are accused of assaulting Irfan Sharif in 2025.

The indictment states that Sansum invited Irfan Sharif, the murderer of his daughter, to a cell where Watson was waiting, who attacked Irfan Sharif and tried to cut his throat.

Jail officers reached the spot and rescued Irfan Sharif in an injured condition. He had serious injuries on his face, neck etc. and he was found seriously injured.

Watson and Sansom appeared at the Old Bailey Court for a plea hearing via separate video links from Wakefield Prison and denied the charge, which was adjourned until a future hearing.

It should be remembered that Irfan Sharif and Sarah’s stepmother Benish Batul were sentenced to life imprisonment.
