Pakistani fashion designer, actor and TV host Hasan Shehryar Yasin popularly known as HSY has opened up about his complicated relationship with his father.

In a podcast HSY reminisced about his childhood and said that there was a time when my father and I had differences and there was a distance between the two, but my mother never spoke negatively to me about my father and always reminded me of my relationship with my father.

He said that my dream at a young age was to study in the National College of Arts or a fashion school, but initially these plans could not be fulfilled.

He says that after several years, father suffered a stroke and his condition deteriorated to the point where he became dependent on others. Despite a complicated past relationship, I stepped forward and took care of him for about 15 years.

Recalling the last days of father’s life, HSY says that I wanted to meet him to say that I love him and have forgiven him, but before the meeting, father went back to his village.

He has said that shortly after that around my birthday I got the sad news of my father’s death, I was saddened that I was not able to convey my heart to him.

According to Hasan Shahryar Yasin I finally got peace of mind and emotional satisfaction in an unexpected moment, I was thinking about my father and the time I spent with him when suddenly there was a flash of lightning nearby, which gave me a deep sense of relief, I felt it as a moment of gratitude and satisfaction from Allah.

HSY says that despite personal difficulties, my professional journey has also been successful.

It should be noted that Hasan Shahryar Yasin entered the world of fashion in the 1990s and established one of Pakistan’s leading clothing brands, while later working in the field of TV hosting and acting.

His notable works include the TV show ‘Tonight with HSY’ and the drama ‘Pahli Se Mohabbate’.
