Pakistan Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif held a special informal meeting with Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Stoker on the occasion of the opening session of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting held in New York on September 22, 2026 was held in a pleasant atmosphere, in which progress in bilateral relations between Pakistan and Austria, promotion of cooperation in various fields and important issues of mutual interest were discussed.

This meeting of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif with the Chancellor of Austria is an important development in the context of diplomatic relations and mutual cooperation between the two countries.

According to Austria’s official statement, Chancellor Stoker was in New York to attend the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations.
