On the issue of Islamabad protest, the Punjab government apologized for giving 19,000 troops to the federation, but it has supported giving 12,500 troops.

Sources say that due to security requirements in the province, the required personnel has been waived, the federal government had asked for 20,000 personnel from Punjab, the provincial government had initially expressed its willingness to provide 19,000 personnel.

In Rawalpindi, Attock, Murree, additional personnel were waived due to security concerns.

Even 12,500 personnel from Punjab could not reach yet, around 2,000 policemen and officers from Sindh have reached Islamabad.
