Weekly inflation in the country increased by a whopping 11.92% on annual basis.

According to the Federal Bureau of Statistics, compared to the current week of last year, the price of diesel increased by 51%, the price of petrol by 47.50% and the price of LPG by 64%.

The price of electricity recorded an increase of 59 percent compared to the current week last year.

Onion has increased by 116%, wheat flour by 32.41% and goat meat by 15.75%.

Compared to last year, beef became expensive by 13.22%.

During the week under review, the price of potato increased by 39%, the price of sugar by 21% and the price of tomato by 19%, while the price of eggs decreased by 18%.
