ISLAMABAD (Tanveer Hashmi, Mehtab Haider) Only 428 traders benefited from favorable easy tax scheme, the number of new filers is only three; 33 million rupees deposited in the national treasury on behalf of these 428 traders. According to details, 428 retailers across the country have benefited from the highly favorable simplified tax scheme so far, out of which only three are new filers. These 428 retailers have deposited 33.3 million rupees in the national exchequer. The September 30, 2026 deadline is just days away, but the latest scheme introduced for retailers also looks set to fail. This could prove to be another scheme doomed to fail over the last 30 years, if vendors don’t take advantage of it in the next few days.
