Crude oil prices increased further in the global market.

After the latest attacks by the US and Iran on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, fears of a prolonged disruption in oil supply have increased globally.

Brent crude rose 0.54 percent to $96.80 a barrel in early trade today, according to Reuters.

The price of West Texas Intermediate rose 0.72 percent to 92.14 dollars per barrel.

According to Reuters, the price of Brent crude oil rose 7.8 percent last week, while WTI rose almost 10 percent.

On the other hand, the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz has also decreased significantly.

Brent crude oil prices have risen more than 30 percent since the US-Israel war against Iran began on February 28.
