An important development has come in the case of Pakistan’s famous wrestler Inam Butt’s dope test being positive.
According to sources, Inam Butt used a vision-related drug, but did not inform about the use of this drug before the dope test at the Asian Beach Games.
Sources say that Inam Butt was issued a notice in May after his dope test came back positive.
Inam Butt submitted the complete list of all eye tests, scans and medications used to the concerned authorities.
According to sources, after reviewing medical reports including tests and scans, Inam Butt’s illness was recognized, while the International Testing Agency (ITA) later re-tested him and reviewed the case.
According to the sources, ITA was also provided with a complete list of medicines and Inam Butt was also given permission to use these medicines.
Sources say that the dope test revealed a very small amount of the banned drug, while the said drug was used for treatment and not for enhancing potency.
According to the sources, there is a possibility of taking action against Inam Butt for not informing about the use of drugs before the dope test. In this regard, Inam Butt is in correspondence with the relevant authorities.
According to sources, Inam Butt B will not go for the sample test, however, the matter may be taken to the Court of Arbitration for Sport if required.
