Pakistan has set a new record of selling fish (seafood) products worth about fifty seven million dollars to the world in fiscal year 2026. The arrival of Pakistani products in the European Union stores in the financial year has restored the confidence of the world.

The Marine Fisheries Department says that instead of raw materials, if you send your products as value added, the exports will increase to 3 billion dollars. If production, employment and foreign exchange earnings are the components of sustaining economic stability, then Pakistan’s fisheries sector is rich in these components.

It should be remembered that the European Union imposed a complete ban on buying seafood products from Pakistan in 2007. In the year 2013, four companies got partial access and years of hard work have resulted in European brand confidence in Pakistan being restored today.

Chairman Korangi Fisheries Harbor Authority Asim Abrar said that the earnings of selling raw materials for a few dollars have been valued and earning more foreign exchange but Pakistan needs investment to increase its supply.

DG Marine Fisheries Department Mansoor Ali Wasan said that the improvement in Pakistan’s fisheries sector is recognized by the old players of this field.

According to the founder of Sea Green Enterprise, Abrar Ahmed, after passing the most difficult quarter of the new century, the global situation has changed for Pakistan at all levels. The flavors of our products are numerous.

He said that if we work on their valuation, experts say that we can go to the very sensitive but price-paying market of Japan.
