Colonel Qasim Shah, the well-known actor of the popular drama serial Alpha Bravo Charlie, has said that he still regrets using the phone while sitting with his mother.
Retired Colonel Qasim Shah is one of the leading actors of Pakistan, he rose to fame after starring in the popular PTV dramas Sinhre Din and Alpha Bravo Charlie.
He played the role of Army officer Gul Sher in Alpha Bravo Charlie, his acting and screen presence in both the dramas were well liked by the audience.
Nowadays Qasim Shah is spending time with his family and friends after retirement and is often seen participating in TV programs discussing various aspects of his personal life.
Recently he participated in a private TV program, where he mentioned some regrets about his parents.
Talking about his mother, Qasim Shah said that I regretted the most on two occasions, once I was sitting with my mother and scrolling on the mobile phone, she sat next to me and talked to me for about 15 minutes, but I was paying less attention to her words and was more busy on the mobile phone.
He said that during this time my mother said that you don’t want to talk to me, I don’t know how many days I have left.
According to Qasim Shah, I replied that mother! You always get emotional, you don’t go anywhere, but after only 20 days, mother died.
“It became a regret for me, if I had known this was going to happen, I would have changed the moment,” he said.
Qasim Shah, recalling another incident, said that I was going to Puno Aqil to attend a function. At the time of departure, my mother asked, “How many days are you going for?” I replied that for 2 days, to which mother was surprised as if it was a long time.
According to Qasim Shah, I later realized that time proved too long indeed, because when I came back, my mother had passed away.
Referring to his regrets regarding his father, Qasim Shah said, “I am also sorry that I behaved inappropriately with my father during his serious illness.”
He said that it was not long after my marriage when my father asked me to take him along with my wife to Islamabad, on which I sternly told my father that you cannot go on this road trip with me.
Qasim Shah said that I later apologized to my father and told him that I regretted my behavior immediately, but by then it was too late.
