Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that there has been a record 64% reduction in the number of illegal migrants from Pakistan to Europe, a challenging task to achieve with the limited resources available.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was met separately by DG International Center for Migration Policy Development and Executive Director of EU Border and Coast Guard Agency.

During this time, it was decided to increase mutual cooperation to prevent illegal immigration while reiterating the commitment to further strengthen joint initiatives for immigration and border management.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that 100% elimination of illegal immigration is the goal, which will be achieved in any case.

He said that it is necessary to open new avenues for legal migration to reduce illegal migration.

Director General ICMPD appreciated Pakistan’s efforts against illegal immigration.
