He said that the great sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) will remain a symbol of standing in the face of truth and justice, freedom and falsehood for humanity for the rest of the world.

At the end of the funeral services, a main procession took place in downtown Dales, in which mourners carried flags and caskets, chanting and mourning.

Well-known mourners Shuja Haider and Kashif Jafari gave a lamentation in their eloquent style, while the mourners with tears in their eyes offered the Parsa to the martyrs of Karbala.

The 40-day mourning days of Muharram and Safar reached their apparent completion with Chehlum, but Hussain’s grief did not end.

The mourners adjourned these days of mourning until the next year and renewed the pledge that the message of Hazrat Imam Hussain’s sacrifice, justice, truth, freedom and steadfastness against oppression will always be kept alive.

The participants say that the incident of Karbala is not only a chapter of history, but a standard for distinguishing between right and wrong for the people of every era, and conveying this message to the new generation is the most important responsibility of the time.

At the end of the celebrations, the organizers thanked all the mourners, volunteers and law enforcement agencies and said that these celebrations of Imam Hussain’s Chehlam are a means of promoting unity, brotherhood and the philosophy of Karbala.
