For a long time, I had been looking forward to being part of the series again, so when the role of Nora Anderson came my way, I knew it was a perfect fit. Nora is a lawyer from San Francisco during the 1920s, so needless to say, she’s smart, strong, and a pioneer. I love her ability to be smart, kind, selfless and her ability to hold her own in any discussion. Nora is the centerpiece of Brookfield, bringing heart, direction and a sense of consistency to the city. Throughout her journey, she found connection and community, exactly what she had been missing all along.

Looking back at the first two seasons on Netflix, do you have a favorite scene or character moment for Nora that you’re excited for new fans to finally experience?

We’re so lucky to have really fun characters played by talented actors When hope callswho bring humor and honest, heart-fluttering moments throughout the show. There’s a powerful scene between Nora and her niece Lillian, when they meet for the first time, which I thought was beautifully done, and Nora’s cute-meet-the-mountie-Michael-Fletcher moment was very romantic.

You’re currently in production on Season 4, which is scheduled to premiere in 2027. What’s the energy like on set now, especially knowing that there’s a new wave of fans tuning into the show in time for the new season?

Nora first comes to Brookfield hoping to connect with her two nieces, Lillian and Grace, whom she never knew existed. Despite her career as a powerful, successful lawyer in the big city, she is apprehensive and searches for belonging as the new outsider in town. Over the course of the seasons, Nora becomes not only a role model and supervisor for the children at the orphanage, but also a pillar of strength, guidance, and heart for the residents of Brookfield.
