Islamabad (Zubair Kasuri) International passenger traffic is continuously increasing in Pakistan and according to the available official data, more than two million people enter Pakistan or leave the country abroad every year. The plan to bring a modern immigration system, due to the increasing number of passengers, hundreds of flights and thousands of passengers are being handled at the country’s major international airports every day. Immigration FIA Nauman Siddiqui told Daily Jang and The News that the immigration team headed by Director General FIA Dr. Usman Anwar is working round the clock for the convenience of passengers, speedy clearance, prevention of fake travel documents and adapting the system to modern technology.
