The Federal Constitutional Court sought the records of the founder PTI case from the Supreme Court in the matter of providing treatment facility to the prisoners in a private hospital.

Records of other cases of this nature were also sought in the Supreme Court and other High Courts.

According to the written order of the court, the Attorney General requested judicial jurisdiction regarding the jail facilities, the matter of the constitution and the law requires interpretation.

On August 18, the Supreme Court issued an order on the present application and a similar application.

Justice Ali Baqir Najafi said to the Attorney General, “Did you raise an objection in the Supreme Court?” The Attorney General replied, “The Supreme Court gave us an order without issuing a notice. The power of constitutional interpretation now rests with the Federal Constitutional Court.”

Justice Amir Farooq said that the case pending in the Supreme Court is of a criminal nature, the case has come to us against the decision of the Islamabad High Court, the order of the Supreme Court is still interim.

Justice Ali Baqir Najafi said that the real question is the authority to hear, the question is who can hear the case of constitutional interpretation and fundamental rights now.
