In Peshawar, a well-known brand was fined Rs 50,000 for charging Rs 30 extra for a bag with a brand logo.

The Consumer Court issued a decision on the petition filed against receiving additional money for bags with brand logo.

According to the court decision, it was declared illegal to charge Rs 30 for a carrying bag with a brand logo.

Judge Nasrullah Khan Gandapur imposed a fine of 50 thousand rupees on the well-known clothing brand. The brand has been ordered to pay Rs 30 back to the petitioner and Rs 25 thousand as damages.

In the verdict, the court also ordered the brand to pay a fine of Rs 25,000 to the government treasury.
