Riyadh/Sana’a (AFP/Newsdesk) Saudi Arabia has accused the Houthi fighters of carrying out a cowardly attack to target Makkah, after which the Muslim world expressed deep anger. On the other hand, the Houthis rejected the Saudi claim as false and said that the targets of our operations are oil facilities and military bases. Meanwhile, there have been clashes between Yemeni government forces and Houthi fighters near the Saudi border. Major General Turki Al-Maliki, the spokesman of the existing military coalition, claims that the drone fired by the Houthi fighters was stopped and destroyed before entering the airspace of Mecca. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Turkey and others have condemned the alleged Houthi attacks on the Mecca and Medina regions.
