Hollywood star Johnny Depp instead of buying a beautiful house to spend his holidays in France bought an entire village and turned it into a paradise.
According to international media reports, this beautiful village of Johnny Depp has beautiful residential houses, guest cottages, cafes, swimming pools, gardens and even a skate park.
In 2001, the actor bought a secluded 19th-century village near the popular tourist destination of St. Tropez in southern France.
Johnny Depp spent about $55 million on the purchase of this property and about $1 million on renovations after buying it.
The actor adapted the village to his liking while retaining the original charm of the historic buildings.

Johnny Depp took a personal interest in the decoration of each building and combined traditional French architecture with his own unique artistic vision.
The property’s most interesting features include a bistro called Cafe Marschallin and a skate park built for Johnny Depp’s son Jack.
This unique village also includes a number of unusual items, an old church building has been converted into a guest house while an old church confessional has been used as a closet and there is also a carriage that has been built into a kitchen and bathroom.
Apart from this, there is also a bar based on the theme of the movie ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’.
The report states that the property was also offered for sale in the past.
In 2015, an attempt was made to sell it for around $2.5 million, but after no buyers were found, it was put on the market again in 2021 for around $55.5 million, and then in June 2024, it was reported that Johnny Depp had taken the property off the market and was focusing on further renovations instead of selling it.
In his old interview, Johnny Depp likened life in this village to heaven, saying that I felt like I was in heaven living here with my ex-partner Vanessa Paradis and children.
I used to garden there and lead a peaceful life, the actor said.
