Inspector General Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed has said that no police officer will facilitate any march, rally or procession towards Islamabad.

IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa directed that IG Police will be informed immediately on the instructions to provide facilities. Action will be taken against the officer who violates the court order.

Earlier, Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had also directed any government officer not to help or facilitate any march, rally or procession and said that departmental action would be taken for violation, and also stopped the use of government resources and funds.

Yesterday, the Islamabad High Court had said in its verdict that no political party or provincial government has the right to block the highways leading to Islamabad.
