DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhary says that there is only one concrete demand from the Afghan Taliban regime to stop terrorism in Pakistan from Afghan soil, there are Afghan citizens in every formation coming from Afghanistan to Pakistan, 80% of suicide bombers are Afghans.
DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary while giving an interview to the Arab media said that Pakistan is practically there to help Saudi Arabia, we are also standing together diplomatically.
He said that Pakistan is ready to go to any extent to protect the Haram Sharif and Saudi Arabia. Our commitment to the security of Saudi Arabia is unconditional, rooted in an emotional, long-standing, historical and unbreakable relationship.
DG ISPR said that no one should be in doubt that the people of Pakistan are standing by the side of Saudi Arabia. We are ready to defend any aggression against Saudi Arabia, the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement and strategic mutual defense agreements are in place.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary said that promises and commitments under these agreements are being followed, the political and military leadership of Pakistan is in constant contact with the Saudi leadership.
He said that the Islamabad MoU was decided after continuous, tireless and very sincere diplomacy of Pakistan, there is only one concrete demand from the Afghan Taliban regime to stop terrorism in Pakistan from Afghan soil.
DG ISPR said that Afghan citizens are present in every formation coming from Afghanistan to Pakistan, about 80% of suicide bombers are Afghans. If the Afghan Taliban regime does not implement the commitments under the Doha Agreement, Pakistan has the full right to defend itself.
He said that terrorists do not have public support in Balochistan, terrorists are trying to impose their ideology at the point of gun. India is sponsoring terrorism and social media is being run from outside.
DG ISPR further said that the policy of the state is very clear that there will be no talks with terrorists.
