The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad canceled the temporary use permission of the shopping mall management for 8 kanals of land.

CDA directed the shopping mall management to vacate the temporary premises within 7 days.

CDA said that while the shopping mall space was earmarked for temporary site and marketing offices, CDA’s inspection team did not find any marketing office at the temporary site.

The Capital Development Authority said that during the inspection, workers’ quarters and toilets were found in containers at the temporary site. The inspection team also found construction materials stored at the temporary site. The temporary site was used against the conditions of the permit, which was not renewed after the expiry of the 2-year permit period.

According to CDA, the authority has directed the shopping mall management to pay more than Rs 4 crore 84 lakh dues, if the space is not vacated within 7 days, it will be cleared at the expense of the management.
