A potential threat has been averted in the Najran region of Saudi Arabia, Civil Defense urged citizens and residents to continue following instructions.

According to the Saudi Civil Defense, the danger in Najran is now over, citizens and residents should follow the instructions for their own safety and avoid any gathering or making video of the danger area.

Earlier, through the National Emergency Early Warning Platform in Najran, the citizens were informed about the possible danger and instructed to stay in safe places.

This situation has occurred in the context of the ongoing tension between the government and the Houthis.

Civil Defense advised to remain calm during an emergency and to move to a safe place inside the building or an interior room away from windows, not to leave the safe place until the danger is confirmed to be over.

Citizens were instructed to stay away from open spaces, windows, balconies and roofs, while those outside should take shelter in a nearby building or secure behind a strong barrier.

According to Civil Defence, avoid public gatherings and video recording in case of emergency.

Drivers on the road were advised to pull over on the side of the road away from bridges and tall buildings in case of warning.

According to officials, 911 can be contacted in case of emergency in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and Eastern Province, while 998 can be contacted in other areas of the kingdom.
